Dr. Bellows is one of six board certified companion animal specialists (canine and feline) in Broward County, as well as one of 190 Board Certified Veterinary Dentists™ in the United States. He practiced in Pembroke Pines for over twenty years before opening Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in February 2000. Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic is an American Animal Hospital Association Certified Specialty Facility as well as an American Animal Hospital Certified Hospital. There are only two such certified animal hospitals in Broward County.

Dr. Bellows grew up in New York, attended the University of Florida for undergraduate training and Auburn University for his veterinary degree. He completed a medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Doctor Bellows has received numerous awards in his career including the Florida Veterinary Medical Association Gold Star Award in 2012.
